Lazy Monday:New Project

It's taken me seven long days of reading, pondering, wandering, and yes, even sulking before I could settle enough to write my first real post of the year. My mind was bland....oops I meant to type blank but bland came out (twice) so I'll keep it....I just didn't know what direction I was heading towards.

A week later, well actually two days ago, I picked up an older project I had started a few months earlier. I love books. I love the words. I love the feel of their pages. I love their covers. As you know from previous posts I also love to go thrift shopping. I have a shelf of old books with tattered pages and covers. Their plots and outlines don't matter, it's the paper I was after. Well, I've been tearing and folding and organizing these into.......

The basement studio looks like a wood shop at the moment. I've been drying the log boom boards in there. Today I'll gather them all up and start hammering some together. I have no plan but feel like I need to start it and see what follows.

Oh yes, I received two wonderful parcels in the mail. One from Sophie Munns of multiple blogs

and the other from Nadine of tinyWOOLF

Thank you Sophie and Nadine. Real mail is such a treat. I usually make myself up cup of tea to drink while I open a letter or parcel. This morning I was woken by the courier man who was delivering yet another parcel. Sadly it wasn't for me but for my little grandbaby Emmie and her parents. Oh well, now they can come over for a visit to pick it up! Yay!

  1. Intriguing! Your parcels look exciting. I have a similar stack of old books that I may use as journals or use the covers and put journals inside or make boxes-who knows but it is fun to explore the possibilities!
