Lazy Monday: Studio Cleanup

Whoever visited my studio and dropped things here and there had better come back and tidy it all up again!
Oh sick....it was me!

Can you guess what I'll be doing today? How about you....what's on your agenda?

  2. Cleaning up around here, too, after shuffling furniture around over the weekend. Glad that you are feeling better!

    1. Lorrie, shuffling furniture brings out the dust bunnies that hide under couches and dressers! Did you capture them again?

    1. Thanks Sandra. So far I've made a bit more of a mess but it's all in the name of cleaning! xo

  4. After all day at the MMDJ I am finally sinking into my chair with a cuppa mint tea, a stroll through Blogland and a relaxing daily drawing session before falling into bed. Good luck with your clean-up. I gotta do the same here soon. xxoo, sus

    1. Well Sus, I got a bit done and then got distracted by my brown bags and ancient sewing machine! I hope your cleaning goes more smoothly! xo Carole

  5. Hi, Carole. If I had to deal with paint, my studio would look like a hurricane hit it. Yours--before the cleaning-- looks impeccable by my standards. Fabric and thread are bad enough to keep in order. Yesterday, I picked tangerines and grapefruit for market...today I get to sit in bed and stitch--forget the cleaning!
    best, nadia
PS really enjoyed your self-portrait post. I can't seem to do self-portraits, can't see myself. You've got me reflecting.

    1. Nadia, thread and pins have a funny way of spreading from one room to the next! Have fun stitching....in bed...no less! How wonderful. Maybe you could stitch a self-portrait?

  10. I had every intention of cleaning up my studio today and even dreamed last night of the bags of stuff I would donate to the garbage pick up! Alas, it was way more fun to push paint around. Your place is not so bad; relatively organized.
I do recognize the waiting sink...the scrubbing reqired, and the eventual relapse!

    1. Hi Marie. Cleaning that sink is almost impossible now. It's over 50 yrs old!
I hope your dream comes true for you. :)

    at least you are busy
    doing the things you love!
today i will ride 130 km for
    a wooden printing type alphabet
    from 1930 something
    hoping they are as beautiful
as the looked on the pictures
    and 130 km back home
the village is in the far north part of the Netherlands
so i probably will see the sea!

    love

  12. It must be going around. I'm on a tear to streamline the house and studio too. Every room is suspect, but working on shop and studio first. Until I walk through the other rooms to get something...

    1. Hi Robing, starting on the studio and shop is probably a really good idea. Too often we artists get distracted by housework and forget our favourite place!
