After all day at the MMDJ I am finally sinking into my chair with a cuppa mint tea, a stroll through Blogland and a relaxing daily drawing session before falling into bed. Good luck with your clean-up. I gotta do the same here soon. xxoo, sus
Hi, Carole. If I had to deal with paint, my studio would look like a hurricane hit it. Yours--before the cleaning-- looks impeccable by my standards. Fabric and thread are bad enough to keep in order. Yesterday, I picked tangerines and grapefruit for market...today I get to sit in bed and stitch--forget the cleaning! best, nadia PS really enjoyed your self-portrait post. I can't seem to do self-portraits, can't see myself. You've got me reflecting.
Nadia, thread and pins have a funny way of spreading from one room to the next! Have fun stitching....in bed...no less! How wonderful. Maybe you could stitch a self-portrait?
Ah, well Carole. Its cleaner than my office. Gulp... I have my spring cleaning to look forward to I can see. Hope you are well and spring is finding you near cherry blossoms! ME
I had every intention of cleaning up my studio today and even dreamed last night of the bags of stuff I would donate to the garbage pick up! Alas, it was way more fun to push paint around. Your place is not so bad; relatively organized. I do recognize the waiting sink...the scrubbing reqired, and the eventual relapse!
;^)))) at least you are busy doing the things you love! today i will ride 130 km for a wooden printing type alphabet from 1930 something hoping they are as beautiful as the looked on the pictures and 130 km back home the village is in the far north part of the Netherlands so i probably will see the sea!
It must be going around. I'm on a tear to streamline the house and studio too. Every room is suspect, but working on shop and studio first. Until I walk through the other rooms to get something...
Hi Robing, starting on the studio and shop is probably a really good idea. Too often we artists get distracted by housework and forget our favourite place!
Oh wow, that looks neat compared to mine. What's the problem?
ReplyDeleteHey Jo....I don't work well in clutter......do you?
DeleteCleaning up around here, too, after shuffling furniture around over the weekend. Glad that you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLorrie, shuffling furniture brings out the dust bunnies that hide under couches and dressers! Did you capture them again?
Deleteyou are funny Carole! happy cleaning :)

Thanks Sandra. So far I've made a bit more of a mess but it's all in the name of cleaning! xo

ReplyDeleteWell Sus, I got a bit done and then got distracted by my brown bags and ancient sewing machine! I hope your cleaning goes more smoothly! xo Carole

DeleteI did a little cleaning up too...just so I could have a clean space to work and make messy again!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the way, Amy!
DeleteOh have fun then! I have been keeping my studio as clean as I can since we are still in the process of trying to sell the house!;-)
ReplyDeleteYikes, keeping the house clean for those house tours is hard work, Annamaria!
Deletewhen you are finished in your studio, come by mine! I'll help you!
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's what we should do after every project!

ReplyDeleteHello Mark. I too hope you are near cherry blossoms! None in my yard but I saw some in Tofino last weekend.

Hi Marie. Cleaning that sink is almost impossible now. It's over 50 yrs old!

Deleteoh, oh, I have to do the same things. my studio is a little chaos!! :))mano
ReplyDeleteHi Mano, here's to you winning over the chaos! :)
DeleteI just straightened my room up Sunday morning and it caused a flood of creativity. It's already a mess again though. I love seeing your space!
ReplyDeleteStudios don't stay tidy for very long before it's time to mess them up again! Glad you went with the flood, Lisa.
DeleteHa! Looks bloody tidy to me ;-))
ReplyDeleteYou should see just how tidy it is now, Suzie! :)
