Art Challenge : Pillow

Sweet Stefanie has come up with a comfy theme for this week's Art Challenge: Pillow

You know those dreamy bedrooms with big squishy duvets covered with tons of frilly pillows….
I can only imagine what it must feel like falling into a huge pile of pillows. There's a certain man in the bedroom who doesn't understand that dream. "Two pillows each is all we need." Ugh.

So far he hasn't complained about the three extra I put on every morning and he throws off every night! Do you have the same problem in your bedroom?
Do any of the artists talk about that over at Stefanie's blog? Go have a peak. You may need a nap though once your done.

  1. Oh, ja, I know that, dear Carole!
Maybe this is a female preference? Recognize many pillows in the beds of our daughters, too, but only one in the bed of our son. Maybe pillows are secret cuddly toys...?
Your mount of colored pillows looks cozy and inviting, very inviting :-)
    Love, Ariane.

  2. Carole, I'll tell you an intimacy. I sleep with two pillows, one under my head, and another one over my head (not to hear any noise) and my wife sleeps with a large pillow and a small pillow, (which she hugs at night...do not ask me why ) But this does not interest me, we have a super super king size bed, (my wife sleeps, at least one meter from me) :)

    1. It might be a good thing that she's not too close to that pillow over your head! Wink wink. It could be the last of you. Ha.

  3. Haha, I had to laugh about this, dear Carole. Because actually, I do have the same problem in my bedroom. Dreaming of cushion heaven, when having a cushion minimalist by my side. And I like that little mount of yours a lot. xo

    1. Seems to be a common problem for us pillow lovers who love pillow minimalists. xo

  5. Two for my big head, one between my knees, one to cling to and hang an arm over for deep sleep ergonomics. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

    1. I started using pillows for ergonomic sleeping when I was pregnant with my first in 1978! Zzzzzzzz are important.

  6. I love your drawing. So fun.
I like only the pillows that i use on my bed. I don't get all the ornate pillows that get taken off at bedtime and put back on in the morning. But on the couch I like a few choices for practical purposes, not for decoration. We are all so different.

    1. Thankfully we are all so different or it would be a very dull world.
